How to make a frozen sangria

A frozen sangria is a refreshing and perfect summertime drink. Out of all of the variations on sangria, this is by far our favorite way to enjoy the Spanish classic. It’s so easy to make and can be tailored to your own personal taste. The hardest part is waiting for it to freeze!

Here’s what you’ll need to make your own frozen sangria:

1 bottle of red wine

1 cup of fruit juice (we like to use orange juice)

1/2 cup of sugar

1/2 cup of brandy

1/2 cup of triple sec

1 cup of frozen fruit (we like to use a mix of berries)

1 liter of sparkling water

First, combine the wine, fruit juice, sugar, brandy, and triple sec in a large pitcher. Stir until the sugar has dissolved. Add the frozen fruit and sparkling water and stir gently.

Next, pour the sangria into an 8×8 inch baking dish or cake pan. Cover with foil and freeze for at least six hours (overnight is best).

To serve, scoop the frozen sangria into glasses and enjoy! If you find that it’s too sweet for your taste, add a splash of sparkling water.
